Frequently asked questions

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open iOS Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → tap Chatova PlusCancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current paid period.

How do I get a refund?

App Store purchases are refunded by Apple directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and request a refund for the Chatova Plus charge.

How do I delete my account?

Open Chatova → Settings (gear icon, top right) → scroll to Danger Zone → tap Delete account → confirm. Your account, all conversations, and subscription history are removed instantly. If you signed in with Apple, your authorisation token is revoked at Apple as required by App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v).

Why does the AI sometimes refuse to answer?

The AI models follow safety guidelines from OpenAI and may decline requests that involve harmful, illegal, or sensitive content. If you think a refusal is incorrect, rephrase your question or contact us.

Why is image generation only for subscribers?

Each DALL·E 3 image costs us several cents to generate. Limiting it to Plus subscribers is what makes free chat possible for everyone.

Why is my response slow?

Chat replies stream word-by-word from OpenAI. If a response feels stuck for more than 10 seconds, check your internet connection or try again later — we may be experiencing high load.

Do you store my conversations?

Yes — so you can pick up a conversation later. Conversations are tied to your account and are encrypted in transit. Delete a single chat by swiping it left in the conversation list, or delete your entire account from Settings to wipe everything.

Can I use Chatova on my iPad or Mac?

Chatova is currently optimised for iPhone (iOS 17+). It runs on iPad in compatibility mode. A native iPad/macOS version is on our roadmap.
